Steve Uerlings, CIC, ARM, CRM
Steve Uerlings has been the President of Barker-Uerlings Insurance since 2000 and been with the agency since 1978 starting as a college intern. Steve received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting & Finance in 1979 from Oregon State University. He received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1982 and his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation in 1988. In March of 2003 he was awarded the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation.
He served as Chairman of SAIF Corporation’s Agency Advisory Council from 2003 to 2012 and has been a member since 1997. Steve also serves on the advisory councils for City County Insurance Services, Travelers, Hartford and Oregon Mutual.
Steve is very involved in the mid-valley area. His is the Immediate Past President of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation and a on the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center Operating Board. He has served twice as President and Treasurer of United Way of Benton County. Steve has been President of Rotary Club of Greater Corvallis, Kiwanis Club of Corvallis and the Corvallis Jaycees. He was also Vice President of Finance for the Chamber of Commerce and the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis. In 1985, he was selected as the Junior First Citizen of Corvallis and in 2013 was named the Robert C. Ingalls “Businessperson of the Year” by the Corvallis Chamber of Commerce.
